At Siemens, we view innovation as the key to entrepreneurial success. That‘s why rigorous innovation management is a top priority for us. Every year, we invest more than $6 billion in research and development. We generate more than 30 inventions a day and – in close cooperation with our customers – transform them into new products, systems and solutions. Every business day, Siemens in the U.S. dedicates nearly 8,000 employees to research and development. Discover below how Siemens transforms the world with its global network of innovation that spans 190 countries.
Discover. Incubate. Launch
Siemens Technology to Business Berkeley practices "outside-in" innovation for Siemens, looking at the latest technology innovations from universities, entrepreneurs and research labs, and working together with the innovators to conduct business with Siemens. We employ a variety of approaches including hiring innovators, partnering or investing in small companies, and licensing technologies. The results of our successful projects are new or enhanced Siemens products, entirely new Siemens businesses, or new independent partner companies working with Siemens.
Discover Opportunities
We actively seek potentially disruptive or radical innovations from universities, research labs, early stage companies, and many other sources.
Incubate Ideas
We aim to explore and transform external technologies into break-through product innovations and growth opportunities.
Launch Partnerships
Through TTB's technology and incubation efforts, we can help create a winning partnership and place within Siemens' $100 billion ecosystem.
