As Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer, Mike Panigel is responsible for the strategic direction, design and governance of human resources policies and practices for Siemens U.S. and the Americas.
Previously, Mike served as Vice President, Human Resources of Siemens Healthcare based in Malvern, Pennsylvania. He led the integration of significant healthcare businesses acquired during the last several years and played a key role in designing and implementing a coordinated human resource strategy across Healthcare located throughout the U.S.
Prior to his assignment with Siemens Healthcare, Mike served as Vice President, Global Compensation & Benefits at Siemens AG in Munich. Before moving to Siemens’ headquarters in Munich, Mike led the human resources function in a number of different regions, including South Africa and 14 other neighboring countries earlier in his career.
Mike is a board member of the Siemens Foundation, which provides more than $7.5 million annually in grants and other financial support towards science, technology, engineering and math education initiatives. He is also a board member of Siemens Caring Hands Foundation, a not-for-profit organization organized by Siemens to receive and disburse funds to charitable institutions, and mobilize Siemens employees to donate their time and talents for worthy causes that impact the communities in which we live and work.
Mike has a degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Pretoria and postgraduate qualifications in Labor Law and Business Administration from the University of South Africa.
