Silvano Dall’Asta joined Siemens Corporation, Corporate Research and Technology in 2000 as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  He is currently Acting President and CFO of Siemens Corporation’s Corporate Research division as well as Treasurer for its Technology-to-Business Center.

Before joining Siemens Corporation, Corporate Research and Technology, he held several business and financial positions in Italy and the United States, both within Siemens and other multinational companies, such as Ansaldo and British Drug House, a Glaxo subsidiary.  He was Vice President of Finance for Transcontrol Corp., a Siemens railway signaling company, and was Corporate Controller for Siemens Transportation Systems, the organization serving the rail industry.  In both, Mr. Dall’Asta joined in the early stages of each organization and implemented the accounting, cost accounting and management reporting and analysis systems.  He was also Director of Business Planning and Analysis for Unisphere, a Siemens acquisition specializing in the design and manufacture of information and communication equipment.

Mr. Dall’Asta received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from New York State University. He also received additional education through Siemens Stammhauslehre as Industriekaufmann.
