We are specifically doing this through:
- Management training programs that teach managers how to effectively leverage and develop the talents of our employees across the entire spectrum of similarities and differences.
- Personal awareness and diversity training for employees.
- Local and national support activities to help recognize and celebrate our differences.
- Process and practice reviews conducted by our Diversity Councils to ensure that we continue to fully engage and support a diverse workforce.
- Supporting career development opportunities for all employees.
- Supporting a healthy balance between work and private life among all employees.
- Supporting peer to peer diversity knowledge, network and relationship development through our blogosphere, which enables employees to connect with colleagues across companies and geographies.
- Ensuring that businesses owned by minorities, women, disadvantaged, disabled, and veterans have an opportunity to present themselves, their companies and their expertise to Siemens.
Siemens Employee Resource Groups
At Siemens USA our employee resource groups connect our employees, who share common diversity interests, and provide them with opportunities for development, volunteerism and networking.

We also have employee networks outside the USA and in some cases, networks that connect our various global networks that focus on one aspect of diversity (for example, women).
